What weighting changes
Unweighted GPA multiplies each letter value by its credits. Weighted GPA adds the course bump before multiplying by credits.
An A in AP US History earns 5.0 weighted points. The same A earns 4.0 unweighted points.

My school caps weighted GPA at 4.5
Use your school’s published cap when you report GPA. This calculator caps each weighted course at 5.0.
My school does not weight an F
This calculator gives an F zero points in every course type. Honors and AP bumps apply only above an F.
My school uses different bumps
Schools may use different values for honors, IB, dual enrollment, or A+. Compare this table with your school handbook.
Which number to report
